Sindarin as Command Line Interface

Sindarin is a free command line interface (CLI) program available for download on all major personal computer operating systems: Windows 10 and 11, Mac, and Linux (tested on Ubuntu 20 and Manjaro 24). The Sindarin CLI includes an auto-update feature that periodically checks for new software versions. Users will be notified if new versions are available and instructed to run the update command.

Sindarin Extension for VS Code

You can use the Sindarin CLI program with VS Code through a special extension. This extension helps with Sindarin invocations, editing inscriptions, updating Sindarin, and visualizing results. After installing the extension, it checks if Sindarin is installed on the machine; if not, the user will be prompted to automatically install Sindarin. It works on all operating systems where VS Code is available. On macOS, the extension will also check if the .NET Desktop runtime is present; if not, the user will receive a notification with the option to install it automatically.
